This just means that every time we set conditions under which we’ll finally be happy, fulfilled or content, we’ll inevitably be let down.
Premeditated resentments - that's almost as good as the Wailin' Jennys saying that worry is like praying for something you DON'T want to happen. So Advent is resting and wandering into the open-ended mystery of God's presence. Here's to a day of mystery...
